Road access
The road-trip from Ajaccio to Coti-Chiavari takes 57 minutes for 43.2 km. You must take the D 55 road and the D 155 one. You can park your car at the car park of the old prison.

Description
This walk is very easy and will allow you to discover the old Coti-Chiavari penitentiary – which was founded in 1855 and where many prisoners died because of the terrible conditions of imprisonment – and the magnificent forest which encircles the village. It is a shady walk which will allow you to discover this corner of paradise.
After having parked your car, you must walk towards the disused buildings and cross the road after a bend. Then you must take the path to the left, a path which descends towards the forest made up of eucalyptus trees. After a bend, the path splits: turn right (the eucalyptus trees give place to cork oaks). The path passes through the valley of Petinello: continue walking until you reach a long straight stretch and then turn to your left. The path begin descending and you can admire the gulf of Ajaccio. Then you must turn left again until you reach a crossroads: here you must take the path which climbs gently to return to the starting point.
