The Morsiglia towers are typical of the watchtowers built in the fifteenth century, except that they are square instead of round. The tower of St John once protected the village of Pecorile. The sixteen meter high battlements supporting the terrace made from shale rubble bound by clay, it is a fine example of architecture from the Genoese period in Corsica.
