The Nonza Watchtower was built by Pascal Paoli in 1760, on the summit of Monte, where the Avogari lords had once built their fortress. Nonza tower, perched 167 meters above sea level, overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Florent. The tower is constructed from green schist on the typical model of Genoese towers: three floors, a guardhouse and a crenellated terrace. The tower is open to the public, and is located in a colorful landscape.
