At the mouth of the Fango you can find the round Genoese tower Galéria, also known as Calcinaghja. Built in 1551 and 1573, these buildings were used to defend the valley and the village of Galeria. The village disappeared in the nineteenth century. Today it is very popular with tourists because it offers a beautiful view of the Gulf of Galeria, the Grande Barrière and Paglia Orba, and is also on the path that leads to the beach Riciniccia. Parking is available in the parking lot at the bottom of the trail, but it is paid parking during high season.
