La Torre Mozza is a former hunting lodge of Napoleon III situated on a rocky ridge overlooking a view of the southern capes. This tower was built by Pierre Napoleon Bonaparte, son of Lucien Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon. His house at Lutzipeu was burned during the fall of the Empire. Calvi is one of the few public places in France that still bears the name of Pierre Napoleon Bonaparte and where a bust of him can be found.
