You will certainly like Tizzano, about 25 km from Propriano, with its beach and its small marina. A small village located between the rocks 18 km south of Sartène, with its small fishing port Tizzano is a miniature paradise. At the edge of its beaches, it hides pretty coves ideal to enjoy the idleness in the sun.
Its beautiful beaches with crystal clear blue waters have nothing to envy to other beaches in the region...
Tizzano is a little isolated, but is an ideal place for travelers who long for the calm and serenity of the Corsican coast. On the marina of this village, you can eat while admiring the beautiful landscape of the sea and the sun. Tizzano, with its maritime mountainous area, is a favorable place for underwater hunting.
There are a few walks that you can do in its surroundings, which will allow you to discover the unique landscape and prehistoric remains of this village...
Do not hesitate to visit Cauria and La Palughja, where you can find the largest concentration of menhirs in the Mediterranean countries.
The ruined fort of Tizzano defended the entrance to Cala di Tizzano, a small port of local fishermen. This small fortress was expanded in the second half of the eighteenth century from an original Genoese tower of the sixteenth century. It is registered as historical monument.

From Sartène follow the directions to Bonifacio: the junction towards Tizzano is on the right (D48) in a bend about 3.2km.
Warning Wilderness camping is prohibited.
