Sari-Solenzara is a town located in Southern Corsica, on the border dividing this area from the Haute Corse. The municipality bore the name of Sari-di-Porto-Vecchio until 1985.
It is halfway between Porto-Vecchio and Aléria, at the foot of the Bavella mountains, which are 33 km away, making it the ideal starting point for hikers.
Solenzara is a small seaside resort offering all the amenities: shops, restaurants, pharmacies, petrol stations...
Between the sea and the mountains, Solenzara offers a warm and family atmosphere by the sea.
This is also where the Solenzara military air base is located.
The Côte des Nacres, named after the shellfish that used to be found here, is full of diversity. In an exceptionally preserved setting: the coastline alternates coves and long beaches of golden sand, while the villages offer an intimate side of Corsica.
