Hameau d'Araggio 20137 Porto-Vecchio

The Castellu d'Araghju is a prehistoric site in Southern Corsica, located about 5 km from Porto-Vecchio.
It was excavated by Roger Grosjean.
From the enclosure of this fortress built on a rocky point, the sight on the littoral is breathtaking.
A semi-circular assembly of granite blocks completes the rock and provide protection at an average height of four meters.
You can go inside through a door whose powerful lintel is still intact.

To reach the site (the visit is free), it is necessary to follow a practical path which, after crossing a small stream, rises in a straight line, among the rocks and the vegetation.
Possibility to park in the parking of the restaurant A Furtezza, at the entrance of the hamlet of Araggio.
