Presentation
This path will allow you to discover Corsica's cultural, architectural and natural heritage. Before starting this walk, you should take a look at the village of Tavera and visit the church of St Mary which contains a statue of the Virgin and a white marble baptismal font. After this walk, you can also take a look at the village of Bocognano, where you will find the parish church of St Lucy (which contains a painting classified historical monument), the Palazzu di Bucugnà (the only building which was built at the behest of Napoleon I) and the funtanone (the village's monumental fountain).

Road access
From Ajaccio you must take the road towards Bastia. At the last roundabout on the N193, you must continue driving towards Bastia. After about twenty kilometres, take the junction in the direction of Tavera. After a little less than two kilometres, you can park near the war memorial.

Itinerary
After parking, you must take the communal road towards Strambelacce and continue walking until you reach the highest point of the village. Here there are several directional signs and a paved road which starts to your left - you must follow the directional signs to Bocognano and take the uphill path which is lined with stone walls.

At a plain area, you must turn left. After walking for about 15 minutes, you will reach a track which you must climb up to reach the road D127.  You must continue walking on this road for 150 metres until you reach a path which descends to your left.

After walking for about 20 minutes, the path turns sharply to the left: keep going straight ahead. You must go through a railway tunnel and reach a river, which you can cross thanks to a rope bridge. Keep walking and cross the other two streams topped by two bridges. After crossing several barriers, you will reach the road D27, which you must leave after 500 metres by taking the path on your left, towards Bocognano – pay attention and avoid taking the paths which descend into the undergrowth. Keep walking until you reach the village.
