On the road to the sea, take the fork on the left to "Réserve du Président", continue towards the snack bar La Paill'hot. Parking. Located north of Aléria, the Diane Pond is famous for its oyster and mussel production. It is surrounded by wetlands and swamps which constitute protected areas hosting large populations of sedentary or migratory birds and sometimes endemic species. In Aléria, head towards the sea road (Plage de Padulone). Before reaching the beach (500 m), turn left towards the Cave Coopérative d'Aléria and park in the parking lot. On the site of Mare è Stagnu, at the mouth south of the Diana pond. Follow the trail for a while to get to a parking lot next to the tower.
A loop of 8 kilometers on the trail that bypasses the vineyards. Possibility to shorten the loop by cutting through the paths between the vines.
Turn right towards the sea. At the end of the path, a sign indicates the different paths along the pond. Possibility to choose the adapted course, the one mentioned on the route is the left track. Reach a place of observation.
1.Admire a magnificent panorama and discover a natural environment consisting of a rich and diversified fauna and flora (myrtle, cysts, etc). Continue north to reach the end of the track where you'll find a Genoese tower (Tour de Diane).
2.Turn left and walk along the pond to reach the oyster farm.
3.Keep on following the track and turn left at the first junction. Join a straight track further on.
4.Go left to return to the car park.
