Surrounded by the municipalities of Vallecalle, Vignale and Murato, Rutali is located 3 km northeast of Murato, the largest town in the area.
Located at 568 meters above sea level, the Bevinco river, the Fiuraccia stream and the Petre Turchine stream are the main rivers that cross the town, which is part of the community of towns of Nebbiu-Conca d'Oro.

Rutali is close to the Regional Natural Park of Corsica. No archaeological excavation has been carried out on the ancient habitats for now, but much remains to be discovered, in particular many shelters or caves. Flint and quartz abound and our distant ancestors used them to make many different objects to cut, scrape, kill, light fires etc...
