Rospigliani is located at 650 metres above sea level and is part of the ancient parish of Rogna in Upper Corsica. It is a village surrounded by medium-sized mountains, green and wooded. The vegetation is very varied: Corsican scrub in the lower part of the village, chestnut trees between 500 and 700 metres, holm oaks in the upper part of the village. The territorial forest of Rospa-Sorba and the communal forest of Noceta are located in the territory of this village.
During the summer, Rospigliani enjoys a Mediterranean climate, more temperate than the warm climate on the coast. On the other hand, winters are rather cold and rainfall is sometimes heavy.
Rospigliani and Vezzani host the Festa di u legnu è di a furesta which is organised every year in August by the association in Leva and which takes place in the communal forest of Noceta.
The village of Rospigliani is part of a second-generation natural area of ecological, faunal and floristic interest: Forêt de Rospa-Sorba. This forest is located within the regional natural park of Corsica and covers the territories of five villages: Noceta, Rospigliani, Muracciole, Vezzani, Ghisoni and Pietroso.
In the village, you can visit the church of St Martin of Tours (late 19th century), which replaced the old church that stood on the other side of the Tragone stream. This church is rather austere, but inside there are several statues of Christ, of the Virgin and of various saints which adorn the pillars. This village was the birthplace of Dolinde Luciani (1913-2016), the righteous among the Nations.
Rospigliani is crossed by the D43 road and by the D343 one. This village is located at 26 km from Corte, at 71 km from Ajaccio and at 76 km from Bastia.
