Road access

Corte is located in the centre of Corsica, between Ajaccio and Bastia which are the two most important cities of the island. Corte is located at 78 from Bastia (1 hour and 17 minutes' drive) and at 90.7 kilometres from Ajaccio (1 hour and 36 minutes' drive).
To reach this beautiful mountain beach you must take the D 623 road towards the valley of Restonica and its crystal-clear waters. Continue driving until you reach an embankment situated to the left of the hotel “Arena – Le Refuge”, where you can park your car.

Description

The Restonica valley is a truly magnificent place, which received the Great Site de France label in 1966. The Restonica stream has its source at an altitude of 1711 metres from the lake of Melu on Monte Rotondo (2622 metres above sea level) and meanders for eighteen kilometres until it flows into the Tavignano.
This stream forms several natural pools where you could cool off during the summer period. The beach of Restonica is located at two kilometres from the city of Corte. It is the perfect place for children who are learning to swim and for those who do not love walking. From the embankment you will have no problem finding the river: you should take a look around you because there are plenty of swimming spots in the surroundings. The Restonica beach is 150 metres from the hotel.
But if you love walking you should know that from this beach you can reach the Lake of Melu (1711 metres above sea level) and the Lake of Capitellu (1930 metres above sea level): you should take a good supply of water and have good walking shoes.
This beach is very easy to reach and very popular: you will meet a lot of tourists and locals!
