The Genoese bridge of Guadubughju is located in the hamlet of Selmacce, which is part of the municipality of Pietracorbara (region of Cap Corse). From the marina of Pietracorbara you must take the D 232 road. After about six kilometres you will find a small car park near a sharp bend.
In Pietracorbara there are three Genoese bridges: the bridge of Querceto, which is located on the plain, the bridge of Ponticello, which is the most interesting from an architectural point of view and which was restored in 2007 (in the past this bridge was very important because it was the starting point of the old road which connected the village to the plain) and the bridge of Guadubughju which is one of the most beautiful sites of this area and whose name means "the dark stream".
To reach this bridge you must take a ten-minute walk. It is a very easy and pleasant walk, perfect for everyone. After having parked your car, you must go back on the main road until you will reach a hairpin bend from which a blind alley starts. At the end of this blind alley you will find the path that you must take. Continue walking along the path until you reach the Genoese bridge.
This bridge overlooks the Pietracorbara torrent, which rises in the Sisco commune and which is 9.45 kilometres long. The bridge overlooks a wonderful deep natural pool: you can dive into the pool thanks to a rock located on the left side of the stream. There are a lot of trees under which you can shelter from the sun!
