Piedipartino is located at 640 metres above sea level and belongs to the old parish of Orezza, in Castagniccia. It is a mid-mountain village, which is part of the Corsican regional natural park and which is very green: in Piedipartino there is a forest of secular chestnut trees (up to about 1000 metres of altitude) and above we can find a forest of beeches. There are many water sources, such as the Fium'Alto river, the Pisciancone stream and the Piedipartino one, that is why Piedipartino is so wooded.
If you suffer because of the summer heat, you can cool off in one of the numerous waterways.

Art lovers can visit the parish church of San Bernardino (15th century), which was rebuilt in the first half of the 18th century. According to the oral tradition and according to the former mayor of the village Antone Albertini, who lived more than 100 years, the church was dedicated to San Bernardino in 1720. If you do not want to visit the church, take a look at its carved door and at the “fortified house" just in face of the church.

Piedipartino is located at 53 km from Corte, at 59 km from Bastia and at 67 km from Aléria. This village is crossed by the D71 road.
