The Park of Saleccia, located in an exceptional site of the littoral, is characterized by the flora of the Corsican and Mediterranean thicket on a 7 hectares landscape (collections of olive trees, rosemary, oleanders, euphorbia, etc.). The vegetation belonging to the so-called "Mediterranean climates of the world" (Australia, New Zealand, etc.) is the central part of it.
Signs accompany the progressive discovery of the place (on average, 1h30) and allow visitors to discover its different aspects: botanical, historical, traditional, human, and environmental.
Based on the respect and knowledge of the past, off the beaten path, the patient rebirth of this seaside site, fortunately preserved from all urbanization, is a hymn to the fierce beauty of this island and constitutes a leap of faith for the future of Corsica.
It is the quintessence of a land that expresses itself here. Corsica can be explored, smelled, and admired through all the plants of its thicket and the remains of an old agricultural activity. You can walk between olive trees, cypresses, oleanders, all the Mediterranean sublimated in an exceptional setting. Opened to the public in the spring of 2005, the Saleccia Park is a place of relaxation, discovery, and inspiration. For garden lovers and for all those who like Corsica and the South, this is an example of what a landscape revisited by man can offer.
