Description

Olcani is the only village of the Cap Corse peninsula without an outlet to the sea, but in return this small mid-mountain village shares with Ogliastro one of the region's “green lungs”: from Olcani you can reach several peaks such as Monte Stello (1306 metres above sea level), Monte Caneto (1256 metres above sea level) and Monte Cagnolu (1017 metres above sea level).
This small village does not have an outlet to the sea or crystal-clear beaches, but it is criss-crossed by several waterways such as U Guadu Grande which is 9.49 kilometres long and which flows through the communes of Brando, Ogliastro and Olcani. You can admire several Genoese bridges overlooking the streams which cross the village. Close to these bridges you can find the pools of Olcani, where the locals go to take a swim and to escape the heat during the summer.
