The village of Nonza on Cap Corse is located on a high  dark green colored slate cliff. Once a simple Genoese fortress, as indicated by its watchtower square, it is now the star of Cap Corse. The history of this village is built from two unusual stories. The first story revolves around the miraculous fountain at the foot of the 164 steps leading to the church of St. Julie. The second story revolves around the impenetrable strength of the fortress.
