The birthplace of Pascal Paoli, the "father of the Corsican nation", has been transformed into a museum dedicated to this important historical figure who founded one of the first modern democratic republics.
The Pascal Paoli museum dedicated to Pascal Paoli is located in the village of Morosaglia, in the hamlet of Stretta.
It was established in the house where he was born.
There are several documents and objects concerning his life and independent Corsica.
Right next to the museum entrance, still in his birthplace, you will find his tomb where his ashes were brought back from London in 1889.
