Morosaglia is close to a chestnut tree forest. Visitors are greeted by a statue of the national hero, Pascal Paoli, who raised up the Corsican people against the Genoese. The whole village is borrowing his brand image, reflected by the local school in his name. The parish church is perched on the hill in front of the village. The village is somewhat spartan, with its stripped shale walls. Other villages in the vicinity, such as Cambria and Asco, offer a different more charming face.
