The Monte Lazzu is located in the municipality of Casaglione/Tiuccia near the Gulf of Sagone, above Ajaccio. It is a short walk of 500 meters for the whole family, very pleasant and shaded by beautiful cork oaks.
The prehistoric site of Monte Lazzu is well exposed and offers a superb point of view on the plain and the gulf of Sagone. It was a small village from the Neolithic period (4th millennium BC), where prehistoric men have left traces in the rocks. There are more than 150 small bowls carved into the granite that served as containers for grinding cereals.

Access by car
From Tiuccia (seaside of Casaglione), take the D25 from the D81 after the big bend at the exit of the village. Continue for about 1.6 km. Climb to the place called ''Colonna'', park on the right on a small concrete surface signaled by two tourist signs.
Itinerary
Follow the trail on foot and climb to the top.
