Description
The walk starts in the centre of Évisa, in front of the bar-restaurant A Tramula. The first part of this walk takes you through an ancient chestnut grove. This region is still quite wild in comparison to the rest of the island: you should make out various animals such as the Corsican wildcat, the Corsican nuthatch and the red kite. The path is well maintained and well signposted: there are several didactic panels which will help you discover the importance of the chestnut in Corsican history.
If you want you can continue walking until you reach the natural pools of Aitone (at one hour of walk). You should wear good shoes because the path can be slippery.
Go back along the same itinerary.
