Description
Corsica is home to more than eight hundred dolmens, menhirs and statue-menhirs, many of which have the particularity of being sculpted in human form. If you love history then you must visit the plateau of Cauria, where the dolmen of Fontanaccia, which is considered the most beautiful and best-preserved dolmen on the island, is located. This plateau is also home to the Stantari alignment (300 metres north-east of the dolmen) and the Rinaghju alignment (400 metres south-east of the dolmen).
After having parked your car you should look for the sign which marks the beginning of this path. In general the path is well maintained and well signposted, but you should be careful when you will reach a crossroads: take the path on your left and continue walking until you reach the aliniamentu d'i Stantari. Then continue following the path to reach the aliniamentu d’i Rinaghju and the dolmen of Fontanaccia.
Go back along the same itinerary.
