The Palace of Justice in Bastia, located on the former site of the Jesuit gardens, was built between 1852 and 1855 in response to complaints from judges who no longer wished to render justice in the former convent of missionaries (now the Lycée Jean Nicoli) . It is to the architect Cotin that we owe the building plans.
