Road access
The road-trip from Corte to Ghisoni takes 52 minutes for 48.6 kilometres. You must take the T 20 road and the D 69 one. Ghisoni is located at 80.5 km from Ajaccio and at 112.2 km from Bastia.
To reach the starting point of this walk, you must take the D 169 road towards the Ghisoni-Capannelle ski resort, which overlooks the valley of the Fiumorbo river. Before reaching the ski resort, you must turn right towards the bar. You can park your car where you want, but pay attention not to block the traffic.

Description
Located at the foot of Punta Bacinello and facing the Monte Rinosu (2352 m), Lake Bastani is one of the highest lakes on the island (2092 m). This wonderful lake of glacial origin, which freezes over about seven months a year, takes its beautiful emerald colour from some filamentous algae. This walk is suitable for families with children in good physical shape.
You should wear good shoes because the path climbs quite steeply for the first 45 minutes, until you reach a very beautiful plateau where the stream of Pizzolo flows. Then the path climbs more gently until it reaches a second plateau quite close to Lake Bastani, at the foot of Mount Renoso.
