Road access
The road-trip from Ajaccio to Sartène takes 1 hour and 35 minutes for 93.6 kilometres. You must take the T 40 road and the D 48 one. Sartène is located at 58.1 km from Bonifacio (T 40 and D 48 roads) and at 48.3 km from Figari (T 40 and D 48 roads).
To find the starting point of this walk you must take the D 48 road towards Tizzano. Four kilometres after the junction to the hospital you can park your car but be careful not to obstruct traffic, in particular during the summer season.

Description
This walk will allow you to discover the history of the abandoned village of Arilavo. The path is well signposted and indeed this walk is perfect for families with children. However you must wear a good pair of walking shoes and have a good supply of water as the path climbs quite steeply.
Arilavo counted thirteen buildings, two bread ovens and a school at the beginning of the 20th century but it began to empty out by the early years of the 20th century: in 1936 the last inhabitant left the village for good.
