La Scala di Santa Regina was for a long time the only means connecting the Niolo to the plain. An ancient road that connected Aléria to Galéria, that is, the east facade to the west facade of Corsica.
It is an architectural monument reflecting the expertise of men (dry stone technique) and ancestral practices (transhumance).
On an old pavement, and rehabilitated, this walk can be embellished with a swim in the river Ruda, a reference for lovers of canyoning.

Access :
The trail starts from Corscia, at an altitude of 810 m, a typical village of shepherds made of many hamlets, and leads to Funtana di i Vignenti (504 m). The starting point of the trail is a fountain along the D84 road.

Itinerary :
Follow the course of the Golo river on its left bank and enjoy a remarkable parade carved in red granite rock. Maintained, marked and updated, this old trail is signaled along the road by an information panel of the Corsica Regional Nature Park.
