Punta Spanu is on the coastal pathway of l'Ile-Rousse to Calvi, between the bay of Algajo and the seascape of Sant'Ambrogio.

It is a natural site of 65 hectares. The sea and the winds have carved the rocks into remarkable forms. Many plant and animal species of this site are protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral.
Access by carSpanu can be reached by the road to Sant'Ambroghju. Follow the indications to "Le Rocher" and stop after a big left turn.
The hike is divided into 2 parts

⦁ First part to the North Follow the coast made of some well marked trails. Continue east on the large rocky slabs leading to Cala Stella Cove (private). Turn back.
⦁ Second part to the South Return to the cylindrical tower of Spanu (6m high).

From this tower, a ledge road dominates the coastline and leads to the Île de Spanu colonized by birds. 

Walk along the coast along the small beaches of Algajo Bay. You can also admire the view of the Gulf of Calvi and the peninsula of Revelata.

The way back is by the same way.
