Description
This walk will allow you to discover the Bonifazu forest, which covers an area of over three thousand hectares. The fauna is amazing: you can see wild boars, mouflons, Corsican woodpeckers, golden eagles and bearded vultures. The flora is equally amazing but it is vulnerable to fire, in particular during the summer season: please be very careful during this walk.
The starting point of this walk is located at the end of the car park: you must descend towards the stream, which you must cross. After having crossed the Lamitu stream, take the path which climbs to your right. Keep walking until you reach a junction of several paths near the stream of Melaghia.
Turn right and start descending: the path runs along the left bank of a stream – continue walking and do not hesitate to ford the Lamitu stream when the path meets the waterway. On the other side of the stream, turn right and run alongside the bank of the Lamitu until you reach the starting point.
