Presentation
Pietracorbara, the green outskirts of Bastia, is part of three natural zones of ecological interest, fauna and flora.
This walk is thought to discover the architectural heritage of Pietracorbara, including the church of St Clement (15^th century), the two village towers, the oven of Ornetu, the village's fountains...

Road access
The road-trip from Bastia to Pietracorbara takes 29 minutes for 24.7 kilometres.
You must take the D 80 road and after the D 232 one. When you arrive in Pietracorbara, you can park next to the church of St Clement.

Itinerary
After parking your car, you must reach the church of St Clement, cross the D 232 road on your right and take the path that climbs up towards the hamlet of Orneto - it is a remarkable hamlet where you can find two towers: the square tower is in excellent condition and is privately owned and the tower which dominates the village from the top of a small hill. Continue walking along the "rue de la voûte" until you reach the small square of Orneto.
Take the small downhill tarmac road and after you must take the tarmac path. Keep walking until you reach the small fountain which is located between the hamlet of Orneto and the hamlet of Oreta.
Keep climbing until you reach a small stream and the hamlet of Oreta Suprana. Pass through the small hamlet and open the locked gate in front of you. Keep walking until you reach a stream that you must cross to reach the fountain of Landi and its bronze gargoyle.
Then take the path to return to the Oreta square and descend until you reach the hamlet of Oreta Suttana. Continue descending until you reach the D 232 road. Take the path in front of you, which descends towards the stream of A Puzzatina. Turn left and take a look at the old mill, whose you can see the wheel and the millstone
Cross the stream in front of the mill and reach the path overhanging the stream on your left. Follow the indications to reach a stone bridge. On your left you will find the funtana di u ponte, where you can catch your breath and enjoy some shade.
Continue walking along the path until you reach the D 232 road, which you must follow to return to your starting point.
