From Vivario you must take the T 20 road towards Corte for about 3.5 kilometres. Then you must take the D 723 road towards the forest of Cervellu, just after the viaduct. Continue driving for about 250 metres until you will reach a small embankment where you can park.
The Vecchio has its source at an altitude of about 1700 metres in the Vizzavona Forest and the Verjello stream is one of its most important tributaries. The two waterways form beautiful natural pools when they meet – these natural pools are the ideal place to cool off in peace and quiet during the summer season.
After having parked your car, you must take the path which descends rather steeply and which is located to the right of the embankment: the walk is easy but be careful because the path can be quite slippery. You will reach the confluence of the two waterways after about fifteen minutes of walking. You could see from afar the Viaduc sur le Vecchio, 170.96 metres long and 84 metres high!
If you feel like walking a little more you can go up one of the two watercourses: you will find several natural pools.
