Our Sant’Armettu vineyard is located on the picturesque hills overlooking the gulf of Propriano and Tizzano Bay, in the south of Corsica in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The famous author Prosper Merimee used this legendary place as the set of his first popular novella « Colomba ».
This land with an entrancing beauty gets its name from a hermit who had a passion for medicinal herbs. This « Saint Hermit » would probably have loved our fruity floral flavoured wine, stemming from a traditional Corsican grape variety.
The vineyard was created almost 50 years ago by Paul Seroin, and has the « Appelation d’Orgine Controlée des Vins de Sartène » (Recognition and guaranties of high quality work). The vineyard is situated along the granitic hills and cultivated in a traditional way. The vineyard takes its strength from the Mediterranean breeze and the natural temperature control.
Since 1996, Paul and his son Gilles Seroin produce high quality wines under the name of « Sant’Armettu ».
Since 2008, we produce high-quality olive oil loved by all the gourmets.
