Presentation of the estate:
Created in 1951, the family vineyard has been active for over 50 years and in 1976 it was taken over by Pierre Novella. The vines cover an area of 20 hectares on clay-limestone soils, 10 hectares of which extend over hillsides. The vines are in the heart of the Conca d'Oro in the Patrimonio appellation area. Here, they benefit from a perfect exposure, which gives them to obtain good maturity and an excellent grape quality. The main grape varieties are Nielluccio, Vermentino, and Muscat Petits Grains. Four new hectares were restructured and planted with Sciaccarello and Grenache grape varieties. The vineyard is managed following traditional methods, without weedkillers or chemical fertilizers, and the harvest is manual. Since 2014, the vineyard has been undergoing a shift to organic farming. The winery, which is located below the village of Oletta on the road to Saint-Florent, is equipped with stainless steel vats and a temperature regulation system that allows the optimization of fermentation processes as well as oak barrels to obtain a barrel-aged vintage.
