Presentation of the estate:
In 1963, Joseph Antoine Mosconi decided to create a vineyard in the town of Sartène, in a place called "Ariale-Tizzano". In his mind, quality had to come first. Thus, he plants the vines with traditional grape varieties of the Vin de Corse-Sartène appellation, because in this wild valley with a dry microclimate, Sciaccarello and Vermentino adapt perfectly to the sandy and clay-limestone soils. In 2000, Albert-Emmanuel Mosconi decided to restructure the vineyard on which his father, Albert Paul Mosconi, worked for more than 30 years, to create an architectural and qualitative space worthy of its wines. The vines, which benefit from the cleansing sea breezes, are regularly plowed, scarified, and weeded to fight against droughts. The harvest is manual. The vines are cultivated without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The elegant cellar which adjoins the property is located not far from the Palaggiu alignments, an important prehistoric site of the island. In the tradition of his ancestors, Albert Emmanuel Mosconi and his wife Edelle manage the Domaine by developing quality wines on exceptional sites, in the deep respect and originality of the terroirs.
