Presentation of the estate:
Born into a family of winegrowers, Jean-Noël Grossi took over the management of the estate in 1984 and later reorganised it. After uprooting the vines planted in 1946 by his father, in 1990 he planted the 8-hectare estate with local grape varieties: Niellucciu, Vermentino, and Muscat Petit Grains. On the road to Saint-Florent, at the exit of Patrimonio, the vineyard extends over a clay-limestone moraine in a plateau region descending towards the south from 80 to 50 m in altitude.
It is cultivated in the traditional way.
The proximity of the Gulf of Saint-Florent acts here as a real thermal regulator which makes it possible to harvest healthy grapes and limits treatments. The harvest is manual. The restructuring undertaken since 1990 has now been completed. Anxious to limit the transport time between the harvest and the pressing, Jean-Noël abandoned the old cellar located at the top of the village to create a cellar for aging and vinification directly on the estate. To perfect and control wine fermentation, to better control the temperature, and produce whites and rosés worthy of his terroir, he acquired a stainless steel vat room.
