20217 Saint-Florent
Name of the estate: AOP Patrimonio – Domaine Gentile
Area of the estate: 27 ha
Viticulture: Organic
Vinification: Organic
Geology: At the heart of the AOP Patrimonio and AOP Muscat du Cap Corse wine production area, the Domaine Gentile occupies around thirty hectares of vines planted on hillsides, on clay-limestone soils facing south/south-east. The clay-limestone soil and the rugged terrain greatly influence the wines: the balance is more marked, the concentration more evident, and the aging stronger.
Presentation of the wines: Production of AOP Patrimonio wines (red, rosé, white), Muscat AOP Muscat du Cap-Corse wines, and other sweet wines. The cultivation is organic, the yields limited, and the harvest manual. The vinification, which is organic, is modern but at the service of tradition.
An underground aging cellar provides a regular temperature and perfect humidity for bottling.
Grape varieties: Nielluccio for the Red and Rosé wines, Malvasia (Vermentino) for the Whites, Muscat petits grains for Muscats and Muscat petits grains + Nielluccio for the Rappu.
Presentation of the estate: At the heart of the AOP Patrimonio and AOP Muscat du Cap Corse wine production area, the Domaine Gentile occupies around thirty hectares of vines planted on hillsides, on clay-limestone soils facing south/south-east. The clay-limestone soil and the rugged relief of the plots give to the soil both the richness and the structure in which the vines will develop, as well as the stress necessary for any quality production.
The cultivation is organic, the yields limited, and the harvest manual.
During the harvest, an efficient sorting table allows the selection of the best grapes for the optimal development of the wines. The vinification is modern but at the service of tradition. An underground and air-conditioned aging cellar provides a regular temperature and perfect humidity for bottling. The cultivation and the vinification are carried out with one goal: quality.
