Presentation of the estate:
Planted in 1965, the Tanella estate vineyard occupies 57 unsegmented hectares on a soil characterized by the presence of sand, granite, clay, and stones. The opening to the sea, only 3 km away, through which the Canella stream flows, contributes to the purification of the vineyard. The estate is planted with local grape varieties: Sciaccarello, Nielluccio, Vermentino. In 1991, little Alexandra was born. As a birth gift, Jean-Baptiste offers her a prestigious vintage: the Cuvée Alexandra. Matured in oak barrels, it has since then been awaited every year as an event by lovers of Corsican wine. This year the range has been enriched with a newcomer, Clos Marc Aurèle. On the back label, Jean Baptiste De Peretti Della Rocca tells us that this wine, made from the marriage of Sciaccarello, Nielluccio, and Syrah reflects his love of the land, a love that has been passed down from father to son since 1855 and that he shares today with his son Marc Aurèle. The estate has two cellars. One, in the heart of the village of Figari, is open all year round, while the second at the exit of Porto Vecchio is only open during the summer.
