Created in 1961 by François Acquaviva, the father of the current owner, the vineyard is located on the edge of the town of Calvi.
The Figarella estate is planted on hillsides in the center of the Figarella basin, a river which, like its tributaries, has its source at the foot of the dozen peaks over 2000 m (5 exceed 2139 m) that form the one of the highest mountain ranges on our island.
If the area of Figarella, located at an average altitude of 100 to 150 meters, collects water from the mountains which dominate it, it also benefits from the influences of the cleansing sea breezes.
It is planted with traditional grape varieties from the Calvi appellation : Sciaccarello, Nielluccio, and Vermentino. Vinified in the cellar next to the property, the red wines from the Figarella estate are aged in the cellar for 3 years before being marketed.
Achille stands out by vinifying a 100% Sciaccarello red.
