Cozzano is located at 730 metres above sea level and is part of the ancient parish of Talavo. This village is surrounded by medium-sized mountains and is dominated by the Col de Verde (1289 m). Cozzano offers a beautiful view of the ancient parish of Talavo and is an excellent starting point for discovering its natural heritage: this village is crossed by many hiking trails and one of them is part of the Mare a Mare excursion circuit.
Cozzano is part of regional natural park of Corsica and is very close to the forest of Cérotte. The main waterways are the Taravo – a coastal river that flows into the Mediterranean Sea to the west of the island – and the Travo – a river that flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea to the east of the island. This village is also crossed by numerous streams.

In Cozzano you will find U Mondu di u Porcu – Casa di u Territoriu, a museum dedicated to the most emblematic know-how of the region: pig-breeding.

Art lovers can visit the parish church of the Assumption (19th century), which was built on the foundations of an old church which was in very poor condition. This building contains various objects of artistic and cultural interest and is part of the General inventory of cultural heritage. You should also visit the ruins of the chapel of St Cesario, which in the past was the patron saint of the village.

Cozzano is located at 60,5 km from Ajaccio, at 66 km from Cargèse and at 75 at km from Corte. This village is crossed by the D69 road.
