Exhibition of traditional Corsican costumes.
The Costume Museum offers a panorama traditional clothing from Cap Corse in the nineteenth century (1840-1900). The museum is in a completely renovated former Franciscan convent dating from 1506. The exhibit has a variety of clothing, from fisherman's garb to wedding dresses. These replica costumes come from the workshop of Anima Carnarese. It is often assumed that the women's clothing has historically been black. You will be surprised.
