Walking through the fascinating landscape at the foot of Monte Cinto
A fantastic natural spectacle unfolds in the natural amphitheatre of Trimbolacciu: the Tighiettu stream plunges dramatically down to the valley floor while the rocky crags and laricio pines tower imposingly to create a scene of overwhelming beauty. Make sure you walk at least as far as the wooden bridge spanning the Tighiettu stream.
Starting point: Le Chalet hotel in Haut-Asco, 1422m, at the end of the road into the Asco and Stranciacone valley.
Height difference: 950m.
Grade: easy hillside walk through the valley as far as the bridge, but the ascent to Capu Borba is sometimes somewhat exposed involving some scrambling (I–II).
