Adventurous hike on Galéria’s native mountain
Right from the beginning, the ascent to Capu Tondu is a real pleasure – at least for nature-loving walkers who prefer to walk along unspoilt paths and do not mind a bit of easy scrambling. As a reward for the strenuous climb to the summit you are afforded a superlative 360° view sweeping across the Golfe de Galéria, over the Scandola Peninsula, on to the Gulf of Porto flanked by the pillars of Monte Senino and Capu Rossu, and finally ending at Corsica’s main ridge that includes Paglia Orba.
Starting point: the square in front of the church in the village of Galéria, 35m (car park above the church).
Height difference: a good 800m.
Grade: aside from a few easy scrambles, an easy walk.
