Along the Mare e Monti to one of the most beautiful viewpoints above the Gulf of Porto
Capu San Petru rises directly above Porto and presents walkers with a marvellous panoramic view sweeping over the entire Gulf of Porto – from Capu Rosso to Monte Senino.
Starting point: village centre of Ota, 340m.
Height difference: a good 1100m.
Grade: long, strenuous round walk.
Refreshment: bars/restaurants in Ota.
Alternatives: descent possible from Capu San Petru to Porto (2 hrs.), or from Bocca San Petru to Serriera (2¾ hrs.).
Tip: if you return back down the ascent path your walking time is reduced to 6 hrs.
