Road access
From Ajaccio you must take the road N 198 towards Bocognano. After 25 kilometres you should turn left and take the D 4 road which will take you to the village of Vero: leave the church of the village behind you and continue driving towards the town hall. You can park your car where you can find space but pay attention not to obstruct traffic in particular during the summer season.

Description
This walk is perfect for families with children and will allow you to discover the fauna and flora of this region of the island. You must wear a good pair of shoes and leave with a good supply of water because there is only one fountain with drinking water which is located right after the start.
To start this walk you must take the asphalt road and walk past a stone house: continue walking until you reach the fountain, which has recently been restored and which was the village washhouse.
The path climbs gently and passes through an undergrowth made up of holm oaks and maritime pines. Then the path begins descending gently: after a stone house you must cross the small stream in front of you. Continue walking until you reach a crossroads: keep walking straight ahead. During this walk you can admire the Gravona valley (just after the crossroads), then the gulf of Ajaccio and Punta Sant'Eliseo.
Near a building in very poor condition the path takes a 180-degree turn and regains altitude: keep walking until you reach the hamlet of Vignacce, where the path widens into a track thanks to which you can cross the D 4 road.
Do not hesitate to cross the road and take the path which climbs gently and which is denoted by the sign Veru - 40 mn. This path is located just to your left but pay attention because it is visible at the very last moment. Keep walking until you reach the village of Vero, which you should visit!
