Road access
The road-trip from Ajaccio to Quasquara takes 54 minutes for 44.6 kilometres – you must take the D 11 B road and the T 40 one. At Quasquara you should leave the village church behind you and continue driving until you reach a sharp left turn.
You can park your car where you want but please pay attention not to obstruct traffic. Then you should look out for the wooden sign "Col St Georges" to find the starting point of this walk.

Description
This walk is perfect for discovering the micro-region of Taravo, which is characterised by a very varied flora and where you will find a great architectural heritage to discover: abandoned villages, archaeological sites and monuments, a lot of chapels and churches... Furthermore, you should know that the path is well maintained and this walk is ideal for families with children but remember to wear a good pair of shoes and to bring with you a good reserve of water.
Take the concrete track in front of you and start climbing: the climb is constant and moderate until Bocca di Foce. Soon the track becomes a small and shady path. After about thirty minutes you will see a chestnut grove in front of you – you can pick some chestnuts if you want!
Keep walking and do not hesitate to ford the small stream which runs through the chestnut grove. After about 30 minutes you must leave the chestnut grove behind you and continue following the path until you reach your destination (orange signs). From Bocca di Foce you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama and you could admire the mountains of central Corsica.
