Road access
The road-trip from Aléria to Valle-di-Campoloro takes 36 minutes for 31.7 kilometres. You must take the Antisanti road and the T 10 one. Valle-di-Campoloro is located at 48.9 kilometres from Bastia (you must take the T 11 road and the T 10 one).

Description
This walk lets you discover the chapel of St Christina (9^th century), which is considered one of the most beautiful on the island. This chapel owes its fame to Prosper Mérimée (1803 – 1870), general inspector of historical monuments, who wrote a very accurate description of the chapel in 1839. This walk is very easy and the path is well maintained and marked in orange.
From the village square you must walk towards the hamlet of Mucchietu sottano, follow the signs. At the end of the road turn right and walk down towards the sea. Then turn left and walk past the old cemetery.
Continue walking and take the path on your left towards the chapel of St Christina: before reaching this chapel you will run into the Bertani mill, which you can see from afar. Then continue walking until you reach the chapel – do not hesitate to visit the interior to discover its magnificent frescoes.
Take the path to your right which descends to the north. You will run into the ruins of the Terragia mill and after you must cross the stream in front of you. Turn left and take the path which climbs steeply until you reach a small wall. Now you must turn left and take the path which leads towards the Vagheri stream. Continue walking until you reach the ruins of an ancient settlement where you can catch your breath.

Then continue uphill to reach the flat path which starts at Santa Maria Poggio and which leads back to Mucchietu sottano. From Mucchietu sottano you can return to the starting point.
