A steep ascent with a superlative panoramic view from the summit
A Muvrella is famous for its grandiose panoramic view from the summit encompassing the peaks around Monte Cinto as well as the Gulf of Calvi. Nevertheless, this popular excursion should not be underestimated – you not only face an exceptionally steep and strenuous ascent, but also some rather unpleasant and exposed »scrambling fun«.
Starting point: Haut-Asco, 1422m.
Height difference: 750m.
Grade: steep climb to Bocca di Stagnu; easy, but sometimes exposed scrambling (Grade I+) to the summit.
Refreshment and accommodation: in Haut-Asco a hotel with restaurant and bunks; restaurants, hotels and campsites in the Asco valley.
