The former valance house, restored by the Conservatoire du littoral and managed by the General Council of Corse-du-Sud, hosts an exhibition-show.
At the entrance, take an audio guide: "Roccapina, so many years without seeing you ...". The voice of Jane ... and Roccapina is told: around a large model of the site, photographs and objects evoke those who lived here, those who passed and still spend, shepherds, roadmenders, customs officers, tourists ...
Then it's a fantastic dive in the dark, from which emerge a lion, an elephant, a bear and other creatures, who, in the storm, wake up from their stone sleep ... And the lion to roar at new!
Upstairs, other models to understand how nature gave birth to these extraordinary taffoni that are the lion or elephant Roccapina? How have men, over time, used these taffoni?
From the prehistoric shelter to the refuge of the hiker, the taffonu arranged, the "oriu", was made home to accommodate the man and his family, burial to protect him even in death, fortification in troubled times, bergerie to allow her to be close to her flock.
Two trails allow to continue the visit outside:
The oriu path, u caminu de l'oriu, in the visit of the valance house. Walk 20 minutes, audioguide, to touch the finger the amazing world of taffoni, to the oriu reconstituted Roccapina.
The belvedere trail, u caminu di a punta, free access. A dive of 45 minutes in the maquis. Some marvels long buried under the vegetation, forgotten enclosures, or abandoned; but also a cave under the elephant and a belvedere that suddenly allows the gaze to dominate the horizon.
