Presentation
Olcani is part of a natural zone of ecological interest, fauna and flora. If you are lucky, you may see some protected species such as golden eagles and bats.
This mountain walk is perfect for discovering the natural heritage of the Cap Corse region: nature is still very well preserved and you will find several breathtaking viewpoints.

Road access
The road-trip from Bastia to Olcani takes 51 minutes for 41.8 kilometres.
From Bastia, you must take the D 81 road in the direction of Saint-Florent through the Teghime pass. At the exit of Patrimonio, you must take the D 80 road until you reach the marina of Albo, where you must take the D 233 road. Follow this road until you reach a hairpin bend one kilometre before Lainosa. You can park your car at the hairpin bend, where the start of this walk is located. Please be careful not to obstruct traffic.

Itinerary
After parking your car, follow the well-marked and well-maintained path until you reach A Sellula. Then continue to climb until you reach a ruined sheepfold which is located on your left: here you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the village of Olcani and in particular of the remains of the chapel of St Quirico.
After the sheepfold, the path becomes a little more complicated and steeper. Keep walking until you reach your destination: A Bocca di A Sellula, from where you can admire the crater of the Canari asbestos mine.
Go back along the same itinerary.
